Person in the Donegal area selling an AUDI QUATTERO ! on done deal audi section .
Its an 1989 Audi s2 4 wd with difflock etc , great machine .
1 major problem with this particular car though , the S2 coupe wasnt manufactured until 1991.
Strange how this country is awash with cars that have travelled through some interstellar time warp wormhole. but alas the sellers of these intergallactic machines all seem to have a common failing. they all seem to posess a poor command of spelling and have little or no grasp of numerical skills especially in relation to dates.
Perhaps Doc Browne could give them some help in bringing these cars back from the future.

if it's illegal then report them. Pm me and I'll give you a number to call. I've only been on this forum for a year or so and I'm sick of hearing about fake cars, sold tax books etc. The attitude seems to be don't draw attention to us, how long do you all think that this is sustainable? at some point someone will wonder about all these post 80's cars carrying a pre 80 plate. Simple fact, if you want a classic that's not 30 years old it's going to cost you, it's not right but it's true, I pay €1566 on my SL, €600 odd on the BMW and the same on the daily driver. I can't afford it but I do it because every day I get up and see that SL in my driveway I still can't believe it's mine. Classic car ownership isn't about money, it's about owning a dream. Be it jap tin or a yank tank it's the dashboard backlight that only you notice doesn't work! If things continue like this classics won'y be worth a bean as we'll all reckon that they' re fake. Rant over

why do people have to over react. read the original ad correctly and you'll realise the advertiser has given enough info that you can identify this car as a COUPE QUATTRO. he clearly says its a NON TURBO. the advertiser is either mistaken in calling it an S2 or possibly thinks all the newer generation audi coupes (89-96) are refered to as S2'S.
in a side note S2'S first arrived 1990.

Well said. As you say it clearly says non turbo - so it ain't an S2.

It seems like half the people on here are just so bored and suspicious that they trawl donedeal looking for ringers. I'm sick reading about it on here and am coming to this forum less and less because of it.
