    Hi,

There is water coming out of all my taps but there is nothing going to the electric shower, washing machine or dishwasher.
Is it just low pressure or is there an air lock?

    suggestions on how to fix?

    Gar

could be a blockage in the pipe. Was the tank ran empty over the last few days?

No as we dont use a whole lot of water normally.

Just looked at the gas boiler and the pressure gague needle is at 0.
I assume is low / no water pressure?

have u a tank in the loft for water storage? if so I imagine its feeding most of the taps that are working and the mains is either frozen or turned off. Mains should be feeding the dishwasher, electric shower, washing machine and cold in kitchen sink

    Had the plumber round.
The central heating had to be topped up which is why the pressure was so low.
The electric shower and washing machine are fed from the tank in the attic and those pipes are frozen... i just hope they dont burst.

We insulated the attic last week with more floor insulation and proper pipe lagging and it still froze!!
Think ill have to get an attic heater.

They might not be frozen in the attic, it could be in the wall on the way down. Its more likely if you have already lagged these pipes upstairs if the ones in the wall aren't lagged.

    Sadly not the case.
cracked open the pipes and you could see the ice in the pipes in the attic.

lashed on the heating and opened the attic door and the pipes thawed fortunately!!

    Cheers though

My electric shower would not work this morning in upstairs dormer en-suite. I have water at sink and water coming out of taps in bathroom upstairs and downstairs.

I opened the attic door and I have heating on (Oil) so I am hoping it will thaw a bit with the sun shining.

I haven't used this shower much in this weather. I used the gravity fed one in the downstairs bathroom.

    Any ideas?

hopefully you have had the same problem as me and will just thaw!

Id imagine its not an airlock if you never emptied the main tank and water coming out of the rest of the taps.
