This is a bit of a long story and dates back a number of months. We've a gas boiler system (Baxi) that's a little over 2 years old. Around this time last year, the CH went on the blink a part (some sort of control box/mechanism in the hot press, near the tank) and we had it replaced. And now this Winter the same part controlling the HW was using went on us. We had this replaced so the hot water is back. However, we are now seemingly unable to heat the HW and CH simultaneously...which used not to be the case. There's a conflict somewhere, meaning if you want hot water, you've to turn off the heat, not ideal in this weather. Is there anything we can look at without calling the plumber again?

Below is an image of one of the boxes that broke this time last year and again this year. The light blue one.

Is this a mechanical problem, fine tuning or something bigger?
