Reading around a few Wrestling sites are reporting it's going to be held in the Philips Arena... wonder if it's a sign of bigger names being inducted?

I'll defo try for a ticket if it is at the arena, was going to skip it if it involved getting taxis but the arena is on the doorstep of my hotel.

Thanks for the info, sure the fox would have been a better venue for the hall of fame, usually the hall of fame is held in theaters, i wonder how the layout of it will be like in the Philips Arena.

Tickets go on sale January 15, at 10:00 a.m in an update to http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/wrestlemaniaweek/

    Prices seem pretty steep

Really hope there is a presale as I'm not in the house at that time next Saturday...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

The prices are steep considering they completely cut the event to ribbons in the last few years,Although in recent years all tickets were the same price regardless of location If i recall?

this is my first wrestlemania i'm going to so i'm doing it all. I wanted to ask what's the difference/benefits between the $50 and $75 tix for the hall of fame? Any info would be appreciated.

    A closer seat I assume.

I've done HoF once in 2009. I won't be doing again, I find it quite boring to be honest.

First inductee will be named tonight on Raw :)

It's that time of year again. I'm starting to get goosebumps. Doesn't even matter who the name is, just the mere fact that a name will be announced means its time to get on the road to Wrestlemania

if my memory hasn't failed me teddy long's going in this year or was that just a storyline device last year

Mixture of both really. Everyone knows of Teddy's history as a WCW ref so it's possible that he is really being considered. HoF in Atl means a heavily WCW themed show... if of course WWE gets all of who they're interested in. ex - Sting, Goldeberg, Nitro Girls, etc.

I'm glad HBK is going into the HOF this year. I have the Travel Package & this is my first WM in person and I couldn't be more excited. Good start for the HOF now if we can get some WCW Names that would be the icing on the cake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 344 ✭✭Gambino Capo

I just think 1 year is too soon. Does HBK deserve? Hell yea, but wheres the time where we reflect on his career? He's goin into the HoF and the WM26 DVD wont even be a year old yet. Just seems rushed to me. A few years wouldn't have made a difference. Atleast like some of u, i can say that i witnessed HBK's last match and HoF induction. Years down the road that'll mean way more than it does now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭jrocko1981

The thing is WWE really wanted to stress that HBK is a "First Ballot" HOF. Most Sports have a waiting period for HOF induction usually between 4-6 years but since WWE has no such waiting period this is the Ultimate sign of respect. Selfishly I'm glad he's going in this year because I'll be there to see this great moment in person and I can't wait. I believe the same will happen with Undertaker & Triple H when they retire.

I love the fact HBK goes in this year on my first trip to a Wrestlemania.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭reytedr

hey guys whats the deal with the HOF being in the Phillips Arena as opposed to the HBK,do you reckon it is to fit more peeps than per usual

If this was RAW's seating plan for the Phillips Arena, do you think the podium will be on the stage?

Just got an email from WWE.

    HOF Presale on Ticketmaster.com

    Presale Code: LEGEND

Presale begins at 10am Today 13th until midnight on the 14th. I'm guessing those times are PST but im not sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,169 ✭✭✭jmolloy

read that HOF has 2 price bands $75 and $50-which price band are package holders likely to get

just snagged 2 HOF tix from the presale...Sec. 10 Row D...not sure how good those will be but at least I'll be there...can't miss HBK being inducted. Did anyone else end up getting tix from the presale?

    Seating Chart for HoF...

    360.gif

Thanks for the chart? So they will have seating behind the stage area?? How will people see what's happening?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭reytedr

the seating chart for the Hall Of Fame, it's the same as they use for a concert apparently

    Ticket Prices:

Via Ticketmaster this seems to be allocation of seats
    $63.20 (Upper Level, Blocks 200 to 400)

$74.45 (Tickets on Lower Level and Floor Level)

$90.90 (Tickets on Lower Level and Floor Level)
Guessing these will be closest to the ring

How do the floor seats work? Do you reckon they are seated or standing, what would you guys put the blocks in order of rank of preference, I think it maybe better to be higher up if you can't secure 1,2 or 3. Also where do you reckon all the wrestlers are seated surely they would be before 1,2 and 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,169 ✭✭✭jmolloy

quite a large plan, they'll need more than micheals as a marquee to fill that

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31 Dman406

When I went to the HOF at the Toyota Center in Houston during Mania 25 weekend, the floor seemed to be reserved for Superstars, their friends and family.

I agree that they need more than HBK to fill an arena for the HOF. Especially if Stone Cold and the Von Erichs couldn't even do it in their home state of Texas.

As far as the tix I got for this year's HOF, I don't see a Sec. 10 on the seating chart...only 1-9. Maybe Section 10 is the lower of the two Sec. 110.

I hope they don't give any of the travel package holders seats behind the stage!

Does anyone know or have an idea what sort of seats the Travel Package holders will be allocated?

Speaking to someone the other day who was at 25 and at the HOF and they said WWE was strict about the dress code so are suits needed for it. I was considering wearing something smart to it anyway ut apparently WWE recommends business casual.Anyone able to recommend anything in relation to this?

At WM23 it actually said on the ticket "Business Attire Please" but there were plenty of people that showed up in jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers. Myself included. There was no one 'enforcing' the dress code unless someone showed up rediculously dressed.

    WM23 HoF.JPG

And on the WM26 ticket there was no mention of attire, but in the weekend itinerary that was sent it said " The Ceremony dress code is no jeans, no t-shirts, no shorts, no sneakers." Again. there were people that showed up in such attire, especially little kids. I did get grown and sexy for this one though.

    WM26 HoF.JPG

    Hope I've helped....

I went to that HoF for WM25, and there was certainly no dress code. 95% of the people there, including myself, were all in casual clothes. Jeans, t-shirts etc.

Infact, if you dress smartly in a suit you look very out of place. It looks very awkward.

thought the first 1 was too ambitious. so when does everyone reckon next HOF announcement will be made. obviously HBK's was just a timed stunt to boost first days sales.

Am I right in thinking all the floor blocks are the superstar blocks so were would package holders be?

This is my first time going so this is just a guess, but I presume (hope!) they'd give us seats in the 100 blocks' tiered seating.

You'd think they'd look after their package holders (though after the Axxess VIP tickets thing, I may be wrong).

I still cannot fathom how they can sell tickets behind the stage, surely this area will be curtained off??

I hope and prey no package holders are given those seats, it would be a disgrace.

    Okay thanks.

Just read a story about how Bret would like to induct HBK into the hall of fame.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart was a guest on Sunday night'sradio show on Sirius XM. Among the topics discussed was the announcement that Shawn Michaels will be joining him in the Hall of Fame during weekend in April.
    Bret Hart wrote:
I wouldn't have any problem inducting Shawn. The truth is Shawn was a great wrestler and I had a lot of great matches with him. I'm proud of some of the great memories I had with Shawn and I would be happy to induct him into the Hall of Fame if they asked me to,"

Bret would be a good choice to induct him.

I have a strong suspicion it will be Triple H who inducts Shawn though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 117 ✭✭The Fly

Im sure I remember Shawn saying something last year about if he got inducted he'd like Bret or Vince to induct him... someone who knows all sides of him and would be subjective? I do think when it comes to the real thing though Triple H will get to do it, only seems right to be honest. But bret would be a fun choice.

This year the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled to air on Monday April 4 in the hour leading up to Raw beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT. The network is slated to have a four-hour block with the Hall of Fame ceremony, Raw, and the debut of the new version of Tough Enough airing that night.

In the past the USA network would air the show the night before WrestleMania. With the switch the show is expected to do higher ratings with the airing on Monday.

Yeah I agree. But to be honest I'm really looking forward to just sitting back and being taken down memory lane. I really enjoy the HoF and all the stories the inductees tell. Gives you a real insight as to what life on the road is like.
