Was going to use the old mmds antenna on the roof for analogue terrestrial stations instead. Is this possible or do I have to put up a new antenna.

Analogue is being switched off in 2012.

Get a UHF wideband aerial. http://www.tvtrade.ie/tv-and-radio-aerials/uhf-aerials.html

Or a grouped aerial. Where are you. There are ones for different areas.

And throw that MMDS dish out its useless.

The MMDS aerial belongs to UPC. It's only any use for Analogue or Digital 2.5GHz MMDS (UPC ex Chorus or NTL payTV). Older ones can be adapted for long range WiFi point to point.

It's no use at all for any kind of Free Television.

Also Aerials are Aerials. Same one works on Analogue or Digital if the correct band or Group.
