    hi,
i''m just wondering and its probably in the wrong place but i couldn't find anything about house phones.
our landline is on private and we need to ring someone who doesn't answer private numbers, is there a number you can dial before his number to take it off private?
any quick replys would be appreciated,
    thanks

    Caller ID default override codes:

Override default settings and display CLID for this call only : prefix number with 142
Override default settings and hide CLID for this call only : prefix number with 141

E.g. if you were calling the fictitious number: 021 999 9999 you would dial 142 021 999 9999 to force your number to display for this call.

If you want to change the default setting, call eircom or whoever your provider is.
