Hi all am planning to drive from Dudlin to Portstewart via Magilligan before Christmas , but the weather on news is truly awful . Are the roads actually as bad as they look on TV ? Any reports would help greatly . Thanks in advance .

To be honest I find the roads around the North/NW quite passable with care, if that doesn't sound too vague.

I have been in and around Derry the last few days and they aren't that bad. But be prepared for a long, tiring trip.

Its usually a 3.5hr journey you are planning - I'd guess double that in these conditions.
