Heating not working!!

We have a Franco Belge oil burning cooker and although it sounds as if it is working, there is no heat coming out of it!! Would the circulating pump be broken?? or could it be something more serious? Its an old boiler (maybe 10 yrs) & we've only recently bought this old house arrrggghhh And how much could I expect to pay…
