Legal or Illegal?

    I know a venue who are running underage shows and have no registered security on the door and have bar staff doing the checks. From what i've heard this is illegal as only registered security have the right to search the bags of patrons.

    Anyone shed some light on this for me?

    underage singer/bands are nothing new and have been around for decades, as for bar staff checking the bags, not sure if it's illegal but can't say i agree with it, i'd would'nt allow it even if i was shown security id, only if the manager that hired the proformers and handled the payments checked the bags him/herself personally, plus bouncers HAVE to be at the door at all times in case of scuffles or riots, i would certainly have that place checked out by their licence granters

    DO you mean they are checking the performers or the audience?

    No i want to know because this venue has a very good friend of mine working in it and we had a big argument about it, so i said that i would ask around and see if what their doing is illegal or not.
