Just thought it might be of interest that MBNA are a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America. Bank of America are currently the only bank in the world currently refusing to process donations to Wikileaks and as such Wikileaks have suggested (via twitter) that supporters cut ties with BoA. Obviously, BoA means little to the average Irish person but if you do oppose the current efforts to silence Wikileaks via persecution you can do your part by cutting ties to MBNA. Just a thought.

Paypal, Visa, and Mastercard have also refused to process any charitable gifts toward Wikileaks. (PayPal is also registered as a bank in Luxembourg).

I would love to cut ties with mbna, if someone would settle my credit card bill then I promise never to use them again.

Wikileaks is (rumoured) to have documents on Bank of America and were supposed to be releasing it next. I'm not sure but originally it seemed like the response to wikileaks seems to have gone up after they announced that. So, I wouldn't be surprised they're refusing donations.
