    Hey there

Am after ideas for a Christmas present for a busy woman in her early 40s with 4 children ( aged about 12 down to 2). Husband working overseas at present so I don't think she would have lots of time for lovely bubble baths etc.

Can any mums out there tell me of a gift they ever got that they really appreciated?

    Thanks in advance

A voucher for a facial. I bet she would love some her time.

Ditto - a facial. Or if that's too expensive, a manicure or mini facial. the treatment doesn't matter, it's the pampering, even just for an hour that she'll appreciate.

Yep, a treatment of some sort, massage/facial/pedicure etc....but you will need to offer to babysit while she goes for it. No point in giving her a voucher for something that will cause her stress/hassle (and money for babysitter) to go and have it!!!

I'm not a mum, but for my mum I am thinking of gettung her, her favourite skincare and a voucher for the hairdressers as she loves getting her hair done.

Her birthday is in October so I am getting her a bottle of one of her fave perfumes and taking her for dinner.

Rather than buying her something, why don't you offer to babysit for a day while she takes some time off for herself?

I think the treatment is a lovely idea but I would couple it up with an IOU to babysit on that day so she has the free time to go and be herself for the day!

That would be the best present ever, I am a mother :D

I completely agree with this, I have gotten loads of vouchers for Spa treatments in the last few years but I nearly always end up giving them away to single friends.
