Misspelled name on reservation (Ryanair)

A few month back I reserved way in advance tickets with Ryanair. Today I did online check in, and realised with horror that a letter is missing in my last name (the letter before the last). 5 minutes after their office closed. I am supposed to leave tomorrow, and I think I will spend those few hours in tears and shaking like a leaf, before I manage to call them at 10 o-clock.

The problem is, that I already completed the online check in, but I was wondering, whether anyone knows if amending the one missing letter is still possible? The whole change consists of this one stupid letter, not the whole name...

Happened to my brother a couple of years back, think he had to pay to get it changed. You could chance it...

I don't think it would make any difference would it? they probably won't even notice.

Doubt anyone will notice or care.

Unless you mention it to them of course, at which point they will care and will happyly charge you to fix it.

Happened my sister inlaw in August. She never drew any attention to the error and ryanair they never mentioned it.

This problem came up here a few weeks ago. Just give them a ring in the morning and they'll change it free of charge, Customer service are very fast and polite so it will only take 2 minutes. :)

It happened to me when i put the wrong date of birth of my wife on it,:-) I rang the next day and they changed it for me ,no charge,Even so if its not that obvious i would just carry on .

I think it will all boil down to whether you get the usual power hungry member of Ryanair staff or someone with a bit of common sense and cop on. Don't bring it to their attention, play dumb and hopefully you'll get away with it. If they notice, plead innocence. Good luck with it

Happened to me too and the girl at check in noticed it and said stuff like that happens all the time. Dont worry, play dumb and they probably wont notice. None of the staff are likely to want to listen to an angry customer after all the delays and cancellations they have been dealing with of late!

I think the main problem for me is completed online checkin that I filled out and said everything is OK...

Thanks for the advice everyone, Ill call them tomorrow hoping they wont make a big deal out of it. :)

Their main objective is to stop people selling on flights (but screening of passengers is), so changing from "John Brown" to "John Browne" isn't a problem. Changing from "John Brown" to "John Murphy" or "Osama bin Laden" is.

I missed a letter out of my first name yesterday when making a reservation. Just called Ryanair and the very nice lady amended it for free!!
The phone number can be found on their website (but dont use the premium one as you it will cost you a fortune)!

    Hi there astral8,

    Welcome to boards!

    That's a very nice first-post by you astral8.

Registering to post that on a thread from 2010. Would that be your first dealings with Ryanair I wonder?! Thread Closed by me now anyways.

    Thanks,
    kerry4sam
