One question, why? Without trying to soind too much like a killjoy there's a whole legality thing to think of here, while I doubt anyone will actually come after you it's not exactly legal to buy and sell taxbooks. If a car doesnt exist anymore the book is supposed to be returned to the licensing authority.
Though most of us here have a shot of them stuffed in drawers I'm sure...

Not to mention the possibility of cars rising from the dead so to speak - not that that's going on here...

I can only imagine the hours of pleasure that that collector gets of a cold winters evening sitting down relaxing at home , glass of wine perhaps and getting out his collection of dirty old brown tax books.
To pour over each name in turn and selling dates and all the county council stamps all over them , maybe even to ponder over what each owner did with the car. But most of all where is that ford escort now ?Is it alive or gone far away over thousands of miles as a crushed bale perhaps to come back to our shores as a new kia , hyundai .
    Oh what dreams!
    I dont think so .

I've got loads of tax books, I reckon e10,000 for the mk2 Cortina Lotus should do it. Anything related to the falsifying of the history of a car is illegal and anything that jeopardises the current situation for low cost classic importation for Irish enthusiasts should be stopped
