what is nat-pmp and upnp

    i'm doing test on my utorrent
    my down load speed is ok between 13 and 14 meg and 1. some thing upload.
    but the network comes up with an x .
    says i have not enabled NAT - PMP and UPNP .
    What are they? How do I enable them, Should they be enabled.

    NAT_UPNP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Plug_and_Play#NAT_traversal
    NAT_PMP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAT_Port_Mapping_Protocol

    Both are methods that allow a client (e.g. utorrent) to reconfigure the firewall in your router to pass certain traffic that would normally be blocked.

    It requires the router to support the protocol. Normally you would be able to check this by looking at its documentation or by logging into its admin interface (usually with a web browser).
