    Hi Ladies

    need urgent help/advice.

have a family wedding comin up on 29th Dec and i had my dress got for it, (and was happy with it) then monday nite my mam was over in my house and i tried it on and i got the feeling from her she didnt like it, but she didnt say much - then got phone call from her ths morn to say it didnt suit me and i looked very big in it ( i am on the large side) but she said it made me look way bigger than i actually am - so now i am paronoid to bits and need to go looking for new dress.

can anyone recommend shops that do large sizes (18/20) where i can get nice dress for weddding ???

This is prob more suited to f&a, but since it's here...

Try Monsoon, Evans, possibly H&M and New Look. M&S also have some stuff which might be nice. Luckily its party season so you should be able to find something.

TBH though, do you like the dress? Do you have anyone you could ask for another opinion? Cos Mams can sometimes get it wrong...

Do you like it? If you like it, and feel comfortable in it, then that's the main thing. Mothers can often have strange and not necessarily good opinions which one can do well not to pay heed to at times;)

To be honest, if your mother said it didn't suit you then I'd take that opinion on board. I know I'd trust my mother over any friend or boyfriend. But, only you know who you'd trust the most to give you an honest opinion!
The above poster's suggestions are good, especially monsoon. They always have wedding-suited dresses and, if you're willing to leave it a bit longer, think of the reductions!

Definetly try monsoon they do up to a size 22, I'd be around your size and got the dress below for my grad which looked great, got loads of compliments, they have it in other colours too :)
