    Hi Guys,
    hope for some help here!
From January on I will be commuting from Castleknock Main St to Phibsboro with the 38!
I plan on trying the Bus out myself, but it will be Holidays and surely not as busy as usual.
Anyone going that way and can tell me how long it approx takes, and what times the bus goes? Hard to figure out, when you only get the start time and then the approximate time. I would need to be there at 8am.
    Greatly appreciate help!
    Thanks!

Getting on in Castleknock means you've missed the worst of the journey. Getting to there takes an eternity as the 38 goes just about everywhere before heading out to the Navan Road.

There's a 38 that leaves at 7:06 which should get to you by about 7:30 and with normal traffic you'll be at Doyle's corner by about 8 but any sort of delay or bad traffic and you'll be late.

There is an earlier 38A that would definitely get you there by 8 but you'd have to hop on a 37 and change somewhere on the Navan Road.

An alternative, depending on exactly where you are coming from / going to would be to get a train from Castleknock to Drumcondra, but there might be a bit of a walk involved.

If you will be making the journey on a regular basis, perhaps start by travelling on an earlier bus.

Not always an option, but thats about a 20~30 minute cycle, regardless of peak traffic. Maybe something to consider when the weather improves.
