Looks like this is out here next weekend

    Watched it tonight.

Started off well, but the pace soon dropped off to a pretty soft-ending (actually the very very end was a serious disappointment to me). DeNiro and Cooper were good, Anna Friel and Andrew Howard's characters really could (and should) have been more used and developed. Overall it was watchable, but disappointing.

Don't know if its the sort of movie I could sit through again unless really bored.

Think this review sums it up best - but be warned, its a huge spoiler - http://www.obsessedwithfilm.com/reviews/review-limitless-doesnt-realise-its-own-potential.php

Worst movie I've seen this year, basically if you want to hear someone harp on about how UTTERLY fantastic he is and telling you every little thing he's doing cause you're apparently to dumb to realize he's thinking for yourself and you need these wishy washy flashy things flying all over the screen, then this movie is for you.

    SHOCKER! absolute AWFUL!

    I quite enjoyed it.
I was expecting a corny cheesey film from the trailer but it was deeper than that.
The final ten minutes was poor,it seemed as if they ran out of money and had to wrap things up pronto which was disappointing.
    Worth a watch though.

I too thought it was good, and wasn't too excited about seeing it.
Thought it was fast paced, was never bored at all. I'd reccommend it.

Did anyone notice the homage to Fight Club?
    Whose hands where chopped off?
I though it was the protagonist that had the tattoo

It was the body guard's hands! When he was telling them their responsibilities and duties, they showed the tattoos.

    I thought it was ok.....but:
Why did he not immediately know how to replicate the drug? And why did he not do that straight away? His abilities were limitless after all...

I found this very enjoyable actually, I thought Bradley Cooper was excellent definitely held his own and him & DeNiro worked very well together.

For what's basically a story about drug addiction, it's extremely well put together IMHO.

It improved his ability to remember and process information. It didn't teach him new things he knew nothing about.

went to see this today and i loved it.

ive only seen bradley cooper in the A team movie but he held his own here as a leading man and thought he made his character rather likeable when you consider what a scumbag he was at times.

theres a nice transformation from the man he was to what he ends up at by the end and i though it was very well written with some nice dialogue between him and de niros character. in fact theres some lovey bits when he starts to realise the consequences of using the drug and some genuinely TENSE bits when some certain characters comes looking for him. actually stopped chomping the popcorn at that bit as i froze waiting to see how it would pan out and i havent done that for ages

im trying to think of something to compare it to and while it doenst really work it did kind of remind me of a more adult version of "hackers" as in the characters are fairly morally dubvious but not outright BAD guys and theres a similar mystery going on as to the drug , where it came from , and who's taking it.

this isnt a huge blockbuster film but then again its not trying to be and TBH id be quite happy to buy this on DVD and watch it every now and again with a few beers.

defintely one of the better "small" films ive seen in ages and id have no problem recommending it to people.

Not a big fan of Cooper but thought he was good in this.

I only seen this last week and tbh, I can barely remember what the plot was about again.

Very forgettable movie or maybe I'm just getting old.

So he could write an A paper on law based on a flick through a book but he never saw a single viagra ad?.....I don't think so.

What a movie. I have to say, this was definitely one of my favorite films of 2011

Amazing movie, but parts were confusing, as they just jumped from one thing to another with not much explanation though.
    Definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed Limitless but like a lot of people the ending left me feeling a bit cold,
it was if the whole anti-drug message, when he started becoming sick, was completely pointless.

Ditto, thought the film was really interesting, really well shot and well acted.

For a film about a man with an IQ in the 4 figure range, Eddie Morra was pretty stupid at times.

It's a very generic and forgettable film, one which seems to abandon plot strands at will and ends on something of a sour note.

Got round to this last night, it's very enjoyable, if you can stand plot holes the size of your head, and
don't mind the main character being a moral vacum, who despite a few scrapes never gets any comeuppance. There were a few tangents the film went on that were not developed properly, the moral element of Anna Friel's character who told him how to get clean or it would kill him, cut to a week later and Cooper is popping pills like Eminem before a Slane concert, the dead blonde woman in the hotel room, the character gets away with this absolute and no comeback. I like people to get what they deserve, think The Departed

I really enjoyed it, was kind of a riff on superhero movies in some ways. Sure it had big plotholes, huge ones actually but it was entertiaing.

Oh and a 4 figure IQ is impossible.

I think that was the thief/hitman that the other guy had that did that. They were just pinning it on him.
