Any way to stop PS3 looking for updates?

    Just wondering if there's an option to stop my PS3 automatically looking for updates for the system and games?

    I know I could just disconnect the network, but it's a bit more hassle than should be necessary.

    I'm just getting tired of being told I can play a game until I've spent half and hour updating it.

    turn off the internet for the ps3, if your trying to play a game online then you have no choice and there is an option in the network settings so you don't have to remove cables.
