    Hi Eurotrotter,

I have this player, got it from ebay. Works out at €60.

It does the job, music sounds a bit 'drugged out' - but you are underwater ;) also has a built in radio, only annoyance is that the four controls feel the same so when you go to change the volume you can just as easy hit the prev / next button.

Hi does anyone know if the Speed MP3 or Dolphin are any good really want to get one but the reviews are 50/50 on whether they work or not?

I think we're destined never to find out which one is best or indeed even which ones actually work properly! No matter how many times someone posts asking about them (I'd get one myself if I could get some user reviews on here!) we just don't seem to get the full picture.

If you would like to try out the Finis one drop into base2race and give it go .

I had a speedo one for about 6 months, it worked well, I was doing a lot of long swimming at the time training for a long race, 8K and it was great when it worked which was constantly for about 6 months when it went. I only used it in the pool and not open water. I did get my money back when I sent it back to speedo and if I was going to train those distances again I think I would buy another one, they are great company.

I have a 2nd generation ipod shuffle that works great. I got it at swimman.com
They are now waterproofing the 4th generation shuffle so I reckon they are still good. I got mine from the US
