Recommend a good mkv media player

    Hi have been toying with idea of buying Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player as i have seen it plays mkv files divx, xvid etc. Plus the fact it has 1TB storage too. Plus the fact the salesman in the store claimed its the best thing on the market for playing mkv's

    But i have read mixed reviews, some people say it plays mkvs some say it doesn't .

    Can anyone help on this? as i really dont want to spend €169 on a media player that doesn't do what its says on the box. I currently play all my films, tv series through the PS3 with no problems what so ever. Im not interested in streaming as i have had difficulties in the past. But want to avail of the mkv option too.

    Can anyone tell me if the Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player will play the HD mkv files available to download or can someone recommend a better player.

    Any help appreciated.
