Anybody doing this on Xmas morning? I'm considering it.
If it's a choice between the cold frosty weather related atmosphere outside on the track in UL on Xmas morning, or the cold frosty atmosphere in my inlaws sitting room on Xmas morning, I'm very much leaning towards UL at the moment.

Much better run is the one from the Hunt Museum to Annacotty for the school for disabled kids, starts at half ten on Christmas morning. Free tea and coffee afterwards and sadly, it's a facility that needs local funding.

I've done the GOAL Mile three of the last four years. Hopefully I'll be doing it again this year. It usually depends on whether or not my uncle wants to run it, because he's the real running enthusiast.

Well I definitely won't be running it Insect Overlord, but am going to do it now alright. I rang up the office yesterday and GOAL are going to send me out a couple of sponsorship cards. Only have a week to get them filled now, so better get working on it.

    Do many people do it?

They usually run it a few times, so you'd get several groups running one after the other. There's been over a hundred every time I've done it.

My uncle does it for the charity aspect. It's quite poor as a running event, because most of the athletes run the 10 Miles instead. My brother got the fastest time in it a few years ago, think he was 17 at the time. It's great to do for fun on Christmas morning anyway. We usually jump into the water at Plassey afterwards as well! :D
