Any really really good whiskey (small btl) €30

So I got the most awkward person for our secret santa..
He's into old expensive whiskeys...
Anyone know if there's anywhere that sells a decent (even tiny) bottle of something nice €30 ish

(Dunnes have 10 year Bushmills for €32- I have no idea if this would be decent or crap)..

I hear Crown Royal's fab but I have no idea where you'd get it & I presume it's expensive...

If you're in Dublin you could drop into the celtic whiskey shop on dawson street.They have a great selection.

Lockes 8 year single malt is a very nice whiskey for the price and its on offer now for 29.99 too..

Ah well,not sure of any specialist whiskey places in Galway but the Redbreast is a lovely whiskey,I would go with that one from the list above.

the 12 year old jameson is a good price in O'Briens

Just over the 30 euro mark on specials, but the Powers 12 is really good, and the Jameson 12 and Redbreast 12. They'd probably be my favourites, but the Bushmills 10 is also good.

In galway with a half decent selection is Harvest, McCambridges and also well worth a reckie is Freeney's pub who also do off sales and they have a nice display of whiskies on the window. What I would suggest is Greenspot in Harvest which I think is about €33 but usually retails at 40-45Euro.

Other wise drop into Harvest or McCambridges and see if they have half bottles of something different but I cannot say for sure. Half bottles of good slightly better whiskey are not very common in Ireland. I do KNow McCambridges do some Mini's so you might even be able to get a selection, not sure about harvest.

Forgot to say the Harvest with the best selection is the one over the Bridge from Bewleys by the way. There's one on Wood Quay but I've not been in there in a while, a basic one on Eyre Sq and also the one in Oranmore has a fair selection.

If you decide on greenspot possibly check out the small Harvest on Eyre Sq as they used to have it even cheaper for some strange reason but did not have it is very often. It's beside Cuba.

O'Briens are doing Jameson 12yo for 24.99 currently and that is a good whiskey.

O'Briens is over in the Galway shopping centre on the Headford Road.

Ditto on the Greenspot and it's a bargain at that price.;)
