ok so, i got a well scorpion second-hand here on boards. it wasnt firing so i thought id have a crack at it, and i got it firing (i figure it was a loose connection). only problem is, its stuck on automatic even when i put the selector switch to single shot.

its a well scorpion, not tm but as i understand it, well cloned tm's one so it shouldnt make a huge difference.

any suggestions to what it could be? and what is it most likely to be?

    thanks alot,
    Avose

You probably have the selector in wrong, has happened to me, just reassemble it carefully with the selector in the safe position and the rack it interacts with centered.

I'm not sure that thats the problem unfortunately, because ive disassembled and reassembled it several times and all times its been in safe setting.

    any other ideas?
maybe, do you think, is something maybe out of place?
because i bought it broken i can only judge off what Ive seen on this one, so maybe somethings wrong, and its easily fixed/obvious. maybe i just cant tell because I've never seen it in the "right" place/position if you get me :/

Theres a takedown and upgrade guide for the Scorpion (and MP7).

I've heard of the problem happening to someone else before, but I don't know how it was fixed/if it even was. And I've never had a problem with my TM MP7. So unfortunately I can't help you out anymore :o.

Only other thing I could suggest is drop it into a shop for them to have a look at it. Or contact someone who does repairs. Leftyflip and I think Stercus Accidit do repairs. Stercus might be the person to contact seeing as he owns/worked on one.

Thanks man, I guess I'll see if they can help. I asked MIA before, and they said that they don't touch the scorpions because they're practically unrepairable (which I don't really believe to be honest...)

If its not the selector, have a look at the part it interacts with, is it stuck, too far in some direction?

Bar that the AEP gearbox is common between mac10, skorpion and mp7 glock aep and any guide on those gearboxes would allow you to dissasemble.

The semi auto would work identically to a larger gearbox, so maybe research that specific issue, it is usually a problem with the semi-auto cut off lever or other internal part.

The skorpion is repaireable but you may need a full aep for parts, luckily they are very cheap.
