possibly fergal white in athlone, or john green in kilmacow . they are the only 2 i know off but there are a few more around.

it would be advisable to go to someone that has done it before as if it is not done right there could be disastrous results. so a gun smith is a good place to start

    best of luck

    Fergal White in Athlone
    0906473803 or 0863260735
    figgy@irelandcustomrifle.com

He'd thread your rifle in ~ an hour.
He did one for myself and Johngalway recently.

i'm getting my barrel shortened crowned and threaded and a mod off him aswell so i'm not too sure of the price for a thread job on its own, he's very busy at the moment though, your best bet would be to bring the rifle to him and let him see what the biggest thread is he can fit on the barrel and then get a mod to suit, i'm going for a north star myself, bit on the heavy side but meant to be very good, hopefully having the barrell shortened will stop the rifle from being too front heavy

i'd advise you to go to john greene or fergal white, they know what they are doing, it might be more expensive but your guaranteed it'll be done properly, i heard some horror stories of rifles not being threaded straight causing mods to be blown off due to them not being alligned properly with the barrel, so thats why i went with a proper riflesmith

€60-90 depending on rifle, some rifles are easier thread than others.

Fergal white normally puts a new crown on the barrel after to ensure she is accurate after the work done.

I've a T4 on my 22-250 which is almost half the size and weight of the T8, I've used the gun with both and the difference in noise is barely noticeable

All mods will work well, some are easier mind being made of aluminium or stainless steel though. Steel requires extra care as corrosion can occur.
I bought a Reflex for €260 steel, and an ASE for €380 stainless.

i'm waiting for a northstar to come from england to be fitted on my rifle, they can be picked up for less than 300 euro,
    heres reviews of it

click on the "Download all sound moderator data sheets" link here to compare most mods
    http://www.jacksonrifles.com/
the only downside to the northstar is its 630g which is nearly the same weight as a t8 but its more compact, made of stainless steel so should last for years,
the t4 AR is a fair bit lighter at 460g both mods are similar size and add same length to barrel, t4's and t8's have a bush that needs to be fitted for the barrel though unlike the northstar, a lot of people talk of the t4 and t8's rusting but most of the time its not 1st hand experience, only what people have heard, if its looked after and sprayed with oil after every use it shouldn't rust and will last a good few years, i'd have liked to try a roedale ultralight mod as they only weigh 220g i think but the guy threading my barrell hadnt any and didnt know if he could get one in so i just went for the northstar as he recommended ase and did a good deal with me,

i've seen the third eye tactical mod getting good reviews on the english forums but havent heard of anyone in ireland using one or selling them
