Maybe the old NTL point has been unused for some time, but has been just left there. He could have easily connected up an aerial to the old NTL points to save hassle re-wiring.

Just plug your TV into the NTL point, do a scan and see what you find. If it is connected to the aerial you'll find out soon enough.

Cheers mate, but the NTL point is F-Type Connector(But I could be Open to correction), I don't seem to have that on my TV, just the regular Coaxial connection for the Antenna.

Does the NTL point have F Type and Coaxial, their was two connections, didn't check the second, I assumed it was F Type also for Live Pause/Recording etc.

You can get F-connector to simple coax adapters... or just put a coax connector at one end and an F-connector at the other... :)

Would buying a Adapter plug like this http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/f-type-to-coax-adapter.html.... and plug Coax Antenna plug into the Adapter and plug that into the NLT point work do you think?

F-type connectors are just better quality, more sturdy etc. You can get a lead with F-type on one end, and standard coax connector on the other for your TV. Or make your own! :)

You can also buy an adapter in stores like Maplins.

The second NTL socket is likely to be for FM radio only.
