    Folks,

I'm a complete novice to the online TV world. I live in the Netherlands and have UPC digital. I also have an internet connection. I'd like you experts to tell me what else I can watch via the internet connection...I mean can I get, ITV online and watch what viewers in the UK and Ireland see?

Can I watch, I dunno, Australian TV or Mexican TV? Incidentally I read a little about FTA free-to-air satellite services but I can't do that....no place to put a dish so my options are restricted to a digital subscription service and whatever I can get through the internet.

Thanks for any feedback (no pun intended) and thanks for your patience.

I'm not asking to do anything dodgy or illegal folks.

I can listen to radio stations from all over the world and it's great but when I try to google online tv you might as well just be searching for a needle in a haystack with all the banner sites and everything.

Just thought someone might know of a nice clean, legit way to watch tv via the internet because I have a cable to connect my laptop to my telly.

    Again thanks.

http://www.vipstand.net/sports/tv-box.html this link has most UK channel's, usually on 24 hours a day, but if not there is a chat room beside the stream to ask for the channel you want. I use this site regularly and i find it great

Any TV via Broadband that is not a service from your own ISP, is not real IPTV. It's just downloads or web streaming.

    No "Quality of Service".
Often much poorer quality than real IPTV (which is about the same quality as Cable TV).
What is called "HD" is usually just near "sub DVD quality" and nothing like real HDTV.
Often not 25fps, but lower frame rate. Even though Progressive, it won't be 50fps.
Even at "better resolutions", the bit rate/quality is much lower than comparable resolution real Digital Broadcast or true ISP IPTV/VOD serivces.

If it's Live TV and not either a dedicated service from your own ISP or direct from the actual Broadcaster's site it's likely pirated content.
