My boyfriend wants one for Christmas. I advised him that there was a recession on and Im not ****ing thousands but anyway I've had a look at whats available.

I really know feck all about them but theres an 11.6in and 64gb one coming with matching CD drive & also seller will throw in a 500gb hard drive. Is there anything else I should ask the seller about it? The box has been opened but he says its unused. He has original receipt from apple store and 1 year warranty is intact.

It looks the same as the one in your link, are there any visual differences between the older and newer versions?

Your boyfriend sounds like a bit of a muppet. What guy actually asks his gf to buy him a macbook as a christmas present? What girlfriend says yes?

There is nothing else you need for the laptop.

And how on earth could the 64gb be "from last year or so", what **** advice. The laptop was only released in October and the previous incarnation of the air didn't even have ssf..There are two sizes, 11 inch and 13 inch. Three amounts of flash storage, 64gb, 128gb and 256gb. The 256gb is only available on the 13 inch.

The machine you bought is more than adequate, especially with the external hard drive.

Hope it works out well though...
