    i was thinking of importing a mk 1 fiesta from the UK, early christmas present for myself ha, was wondering has anyone here used this crowd before;

    got a very resonable quote from them, around €350, so was wondering had anyone any past experiences with them?
    I was looking up old threads here and I seen a few people €4 and 500 for the same service, and recently i got quoted €400 to move a car from kilkenny to cavan, so i think it seems a very good deal.

    They brought one in for me about a year ago.The only downside was that they did not tell me in advance that it could take a couple of weeks for them to collect in the area that the car was.
    Not sure if they go out of their way for one off collections but just let you wait until they are in that area.
    They did take a payment from my credit card before they told me about the possible wait.
    In the end it took about ten days to get the car and their service was very good.
    Sometimes they do special offers.My collection only cost €250 so was worth the wait.

    It depends on the size of the yoke coming back and how many it can transport. The big 8/10 space transporters are from 300/350 usually, but they may take a few days more to do the job as they need a full load. Smaller transporters can be 400/500 but usually travel more often.

    It would be probably less hassle to just fly over there and drive it home.

    ha yeah i was thinking about doing that as well, making it easier to pay for the car and getting proof of the car coming in to the country with the ferry ticket back,don't know hoe confident i'd be driving a few hundred miles in a 30 year old car in another country haha. also might be a problem getting insured, as I'm under 25 and the cars not taxed i don't think,

    I used them too, special offer, they picked the car up from a dealer within days and dropped in Baldonnel. I had to go there to collect it and the only hitch was that the taxi driver from the Red Cow didn't know where the depot was. However we worked it out.

    If you were to go to collect it and drive it home you would probably have to stay overnight so as not to be shagged driving home. Add that to the cost of the air fare and ferry and the NVD offer becomes great value.

    I would recommend NVD.
