One sleepless night when there was nothing left on the box but shopping channels I noticed this gadget. Could it work I wondered? - well it does - Bargain!

Not as good as a real window cleaner obviously but mine used to cost €40 a pop so I got both the single glazed, double glazed and extra pads and shipping and still saved money. Sold out at the moment ( where I bought it) but when spring cleaning comes to mind in the 2011 I'm sure it will be back in stock.

Bought something similar to this in Homebase for about the same price.. and it was a bag of sh*te!

Unless you moved an inch at a time, it'd fall off / lose contact with the window the other side.

    Hope that one is better!

I bought one similar to this too in woolworths in the north a while ago-its a load of crap! You'd want to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to move them on the window - the magnets are too strong. Also got finger caught between them when they stuck together(very sore wet/cold hand)
    So dont bother!!!

That's a shame, it sounds like a good idea. Especially after a near death experience of leaving out my windows trying to clean the outside recently...

Ive used similar for cleaning the insides of fish tanks. Think it would just be frustrating trying to use it on big windows tbh.

It mentions cleaning the windows on high rise buildings.. how exactly would one get the outside part outside in this case anyway!?

There are two types> The red ones are extra strong for double glazed windows. Blue ones are for single glaze. Try to use red on single glaze=to strong i.e. hard to move, try to use blue for double glaze = fall off i.e. not strong enough to stay attached.

I Picked up couple of red ones for 3euro in a second hand shop.

Do not put them near each other with your fingers in between they come together hard and can cause injury!

Edit: I just noticed the "Prefix" before the thread title and was wondering about it, and why it was only showing in the title bar of my browser, and not in the main forum.
