New to this forum so bear with me if this has been addressed already !

Can anyone tell me what Facebook are meant to do when someone complains about abusive & fairly disgusting postings made by one of their members about another member?

Have emailed them several times without result, I do not have the option of going down the normal reporting option as the person concerned has blocked me from visiting their page.

Report the poster and then block them. They won't be able to post again onto your wall.

Thanks Brian, The problem is that the person involved deleted me as a "friend " some time ago and has been posting this obsene rubbish on his own profile. Have reported the other member but there seems to be little or anything happening from Facebook.

If it's on their own profile then he or she are just making a fool of themselves. If it is slanderous or libelous then consult a lawyer. You have to ask yourself is this person really worth the bother? Will the people who read the comments actually be bothered and how will they view the author? If it's just a childish vendetta then rise above it.

There seems to be a myth amongst some people that online activities are above the law or somewhat anonymous. They are anything but.

You are right Brian, This guy is a fool, a bully for sure but also a fool !

Best to leave him to his own devices and let his "freinds" see him for what he is ! thanks for the advice.

May I ask roughly what age group is this person that is causing the problem?
