Get a match thread started for this, as im really looking forward to it.

Juventus at home will be no cake walk. City struggled for long periods against them in COMS, and they were unlucky not to win, truth be told.

Though their form in Europe hasn't been the stuff of legend this season, 5 draws from 5 games, theyre stil second in the Italian league, and i doubt anyone will consider writing them off.

I'll be watching this with an eye on Salzberg V Lech Pozan. Theres nothing in the top of this table, and I cant but expect Lech Pozan to win.

    should be a good one.

I think it'll be crap tbh. We're already through, they're already out so it's set up to be a drab affair.

No Tevez, Balotelli, Adebayor, Santa Cruz and maybe Jo so one of the kids might get a run. I'd rather we play a B team for this and save the legs for Everton.

yeah, im not expecting much here, adn fully expect Mancini to play it as a training match. But beating Juve would be a big push for the lads, and the mentality has to be there or we will only fall at the next stage.

If it's on ESPN we can't see it in Ireland :(.

Chances are it'll be a muck game, were anything riding on the game, I'd expect to see the upstarts thrashed :)

juve are a club with a longstanding pedigree...........

Discounting the loss to Bayern, Juve have had an excellent home record in recent years but I doubt and hope the key players won't be risked, we've a title to win.

I had assumed that the Juve team will be made up of fringe players and kids but Delneri said something yesterday about starting Chiellini and Krasic. I've no idea why he'd do that and still doubt he will.

This is on ESPN at 17:30, not 18:00.

I can watch EL matches on ESPN with UPC.

1-0 to Juve at half time. A goal for Giannetti on his first ever start. Terrible match though.

    Wow, tumbleweed!

1-1 final score. Jo for City. 6,000 turned up to see this one.

As the travelling supporters pointed out, "shít ground, no fans".

18000 of them came out to see the Rovers. Italians arent interested in these English minnows obviously.

Seriously though, Juve have terrible support at home.

In fairness, it was well below 0 degrees and it was a completely pointless match but it's still a very poor crowd.

237 turned up for a Cup match against Sampdoria about 10 years ago.

First game I haven't been arsed to get up for this season. Horrible 2am kick off on a work night for a meaningless game, and the reports seem to confirm it was a bit of a dud.

Good to see Nimely get a start though, would've been a great experience for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

    It was an absolute dud.

Nimely was quiet before being taken off but didn't really get any service.

Are City still stuck in Italy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Last I heard they were. Luckily there's a whole other team back in Manchester just in case.
