Is a bargain really worth spoiling Christmas for all the people working in the retail sector????

Alot of people have to work christmas day and stephen's so I don't really see it as spoiling someones christmas. That's just me being bitter though because I have always worked stephen's :p:(

There's no way I will ever go near a shop on St Stephen's Day, give me my couple of days relaxing with my family, I can go shopping the rest of the year. But if they want to open and apparently it's one of the busiest days of the year for them then I guess that's their choice. It wouldn't be for me though.

I worked in retail on Stephens Day last year and it was the biggest pain in the arse. I had to be in at 7, so I'd gone home to my parents for xmas day then had to get up crazy early to make it back to Dublin. The roads were so icy, I expected the shop to be really quiet. We opened at 10. When I got there before 7, there were people waiting outside! I just don't get it. Why can't sale just start on the 27th, and give us all two nice days off?! Clothes and shoes are not that great imo, and that's saying something 'cause I love me some shopping!

But this is when you get the real deals! I'm all for relaxing but to be fair being a student I get three weeks of that and that is fooking plenty!

You wont feel like that when you working full time and have 48 hrs off for x mas, take it you've never had a part-time job in retail.
