I see CBS Drama HD and CBS action HD *May* be coming to Freesat

    If you look at the comments on that forum, you will notice this:
    Freesat spokesperson: Freesat has been informed by Chello Zone UK that there are no plans to launch these channels in HD in the near future

    That is not to say they wont launch, but I would not expect them any time soon.

    Shame. I don't watch them now in SD but the more HD channels the better.

    Besides Boston Legal, isn't CBS Drama mainly a platform for vintage shows?
    I'm not sure they would have any HD versions to run with. :confused:

    OK, so they could upscale but that's that proper/true HD.

    I think most old US shows were recorded on film so thats hd right there.

    So by default, the channels had/have film (so called HD) prints already, and are/were just limited by the fact that HD systems weren't available yet? :o

    No.
    The shows may or may not have been film. Distribution to Broadcasters will have been by tape.
