Software Scam?

Hi everybody, hope that I am threading in the right Forum:)
I got a Freeware from download.com. It is a scientific calculator and the Freeware version has many of the features I required but I have to buy the full version to get all its features. The company behind the calculator is an Austalian 1 called Dot Point Learning System and they have a Website at this address:
    http://www.dplsystems.com.au/index.php

I really want the calculator as it has many features I like however I am very confused by the company as there is no detail of it anywhere on the web if it is scam or not and I cannot find any details about its owners on their Website they only have a Po Box address and an email linked to their own site. It seems very odd to me not being able to view the ID of its owners anywhere either on the software or their Website:confused:

It is a very small sum to pay but if anything goes wrong I cannot turn to anyone as there is no liable owner to DPLS. But I am also confused by what type of scam the company could be doing? And the risk involve for me by giving them my details? They do their payment facilities through payloadz.

Any help in finding if they are legit/ a scam/ what is the risk, would be very much appreciated as I would usually stay away from this kind of website but I really need this calculator.

It's €1.44 and when you click on purchase it directs you to Paypal.

Can't get more secure than that.

Sorry know all that and feel silly for asking but to me it seems most odd to have a company without known owner. If they are legit why are they hiding their ID beyond PO box and so on. that's the only reason why I was wary. I sent them an email but still didn't get another ID behind their company they signed DPL. Never did business with a company without any liable person behind before and find their lack of ID most odd. But yes I agree I cannot see where is the Scam in it :)

Perhaps the guy is working from home and doesn't wish to publish his home address?
