VFC AK 74 Hop-up

    Are the stock hop-up rubbers that come with the AEG any good ? Was thinking off maybe changing it as im having range issues. Aeg only been used 3 time in the field about 3k BB throuh it.

    They are ok but I dont think they are the best available. They take a while to bed in.
    A new softer rubber will improve it.
    Guarder, TM (if you can get em), even the G&G rubbers will all probably give an improvment in range over the stock one.

    My VFC was perfect out of the box, do you know if it has been modified in any way? How is the FPS?

    Try using .25g bb's if you don't already, and very carefully adjusting the hop while sighting along the side of the barrel to see adjustments.

    I had the AKMS and it has the same internals, if there is no improvement, guarder clear hop rubbers are highly reccomended.

    I brought it brand new so no mods as far as I know. Fps was a low 265-270,think that was a battery problem though.Will be testing it this weekend so should see if a new battery helps.

    Battery wouldn't affect FPS, that is a useable FPS to have but with hop on it drops further, to see a full performance from .25g bb's get a spring upgrade to .9-.95 j, and then with hop on and .25g bb's you will see the best performance in terms of range.
