With equal respect to you Steve, the other avenues have not dealt with this issue in an appropriate manner. Also I have had similar issues where ignorance and stonewalling seem to be the preferred method of dealing with such issues.
This forum has a major case of too many cooks. It really is spoiling everything.

Can you honestly not see the problem here ? All it would take is a PM from the moderator in question to clear this up. Hell, even the admin is aware theres a problem, but they're both refusing to do anything about it unless the red tape route is followed. And now you're telling me to shut up about it. It very much IS a local moderation issue, because the moderator made a complete arse of reporting the PM in the first place and the admin just waded in, took the mis-quoted report as fact without even looking into it, and then passed judgement. At the very least the failure of the mode to address the issue is complacency. And as an aside, I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of character he's showing - I would have thought better of him.

At this point I think everyone concerned knows theres a problem with this issue, but you're all digging your heels in because you either dont want to admit a mistake was made, or maybe because that Gerrowadat has had issues with the mods in the past and you have some notion in your heads that he had it coming. It might even be a combination of both.

You're all just compounding the original issue, and honestly, I'm beginning to think Doc and Danin were right - this thread is pointless. None of you are willing to accept where the real problem lies.

A like it or lump it attitude is not the way to win over people or change this forum. Who are you to give us a voice and then decide when what we have to say isnt what you want to hear.

Just because your holding all the cards Steve doesnt mean you have to play them.

This move in my opinion is cowardly. I would love to talk to you face to face about this, I wonder wether your reaction would be quite so blunt.


On another note, Im coming at this from an Unbiased viewpoint, I dont know Gerrowadats, but looking at this from my standpoint, this is a DISGHUSTING MISUSE OF AUTHORITY. You say nothing can be done, but thats a cop out. Its infuriating to see you open a thread, and then censor it. Why bother to begin with.

Point to note here guys: there is an active thread in the DRP forum where Gerrowadat is seeking resolution.

It would be highly inappropriate for any mod to comment on the matter here in the interim.

This thread was re-opened purely to reduce noise in the feedback thread.

Shiva, maybe pm is a better option there.
