Was thinking about getting one of the colognes or candles for some relations for xmas, but the 200gm ones are nearly €50 in BTs  Are they worth it, more so than any other candle brand? Heard the English Pear is also a lovely cologne. Can anyone here recommend one or let me know if JMs products are worth the price.

Girls I know who've had JM candles said they were very long-lasting and so, good value despite the high price.

For a nice, less expensive option, I'd recommend these:

It's an Irish company run by twobrothers. There's a great choice of scents and they're €18. I've bought a few now, for myself and as presents. I love them!

They really are gorgeous. They aren't exceptionally long lasting but the scent from them is beautiful, and very present in the room they are in when lit, but not overpowering if that makes sense.

Cloon Keen candles are a less expensive alternative. They have a shop in Galway, are stocked in the Kilkenny shop, or you can order online, although the p&p isn't the most competitive.

I think Meadows and Byrne do them

I've heard great things about Cloon Keen, actually. They're on my never-ending wishlist!

They're in Avoca, BT, the Kilkenny shop, and also some pharmacies and salons. The Mink salons in Ballsbridge and Donnybrook have them, as does my local pharmacy.
