I've tried this in the Carlow forum a couple of months ago but I'm hoping to get some more advice in the Fashion & Appearance forum.

I used to have long hair but I decided to get it cut during the summer. I got it cut in the hairdressers in Haddens and it looked pretty decent. A month later I went back to the same hairdressers and she cut the front of it twice as short as the back. I got that haircut fixed up in the hairdressers in the Fairgreen shopping centre and she did a decent job. Another month later I went back there and again she did a decent job. I returned another month later. This time a different girl cut my hair and did a terrible job, leaving random bits longer than others. A month later I went to Linda Maher. The girl there cut a massive piece out of the front. I got the rest of it evened up to fit in with the short patch in Fringes hairdressers. I let my hair grow for the last three months and returned to Fringes today. The girl cut my hair way too short. It's not the worst haircut I've ever had but I can't put a parting in it as I would like to. The hairdresser seemed to have trouble understanding what I meant when I said "cut a little bit off the top" even though I showed her a photo of my last decent haircut. When I try to part my hair now it sticks up in the middle and I look like Stan Laurel.

Is there any good mens hairdressers whatsoever in Carlow? I'd be prepared to pay a bit more than what I usually pay, and maybe get it cut less often. All I want is for someone to cut my hair evenly and leave enough on top to put a parting in it.

Maybe my post was too long. Here's a brief summation of my question - I've been to Linda Mahers, Headmasters in the Haddens centre and Blakes in the Fairgreen shopping centre. They've all made a mess of my hair. Is there anywhere else I can go to get a decent haircut in county Carlow?
