    Hi

Just replaced Vista with windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 1525, and now I cant get video to output through the HDMI port. It was working fine with Vista, playinf from the Inspiron to a Philips 32" LCD. I've done all the windows updates, still nothing. I've tried Dell but cant get anywhere with them as the service tage will only give me support for vista.

    Anybody encountered this problem?

The vista drivers will work in 7.

The vista drivers will work in 7.

I deleted the "Widows.old" folder to save space, would this have deleted the driver?

Nope. Download the video drivers for your laptop from the dell site and install.

If i was to guess i'd say it's this one. Link

But that's just a guess. It depends on what configuration your laptop is.

Got that driver from the Intel site, still no video output , looks like I might be going back to Vista, although I have heard of people having Windows 7 on this particular Dell model.
