    Hi,

I've have a copy of the above on its way to me now.. it's for a media server and I just realised that I will need the ability to manage shares/users etc.

I know that the XP Home only allows you to share a folder and doesn't give you any advanced of options like permissions etc?

Is this case for Win7 Home Premium also and if so am I screwed?

Is there a way I mod it to add advanced filesharing support?

    Cheers!

Oh and.. if the above answers to the above don't go in my favour, anybody want to buy a brand new sealed Windows 7 Home Premium 32Bit :pac:

they only sell 32-bit in the first place because well, 64-bit scared people. There was also the complication involved with direct upgrades.

But yes, Vista and 7 both allow for much more intelligent file-sharing and folder permissions.
