€500 laptop for Xmas pressie???

Hi

Need a decent laptop for max €500.
Will be used for surfing, watching movies and just general office applications.

I was in PC world and guy in shop wanted me to buy an emachine. I heard they are muck.

A 15 inch screen would be big enough.

Need this before Xmas so bricks and mortar would be ideal.

If you can at all, stick to the brands. eMachines are rebadged and hobbed together from Advent etc. They can be very hard to get updates and drivers for. HP, Dell and you can't go too far wrong. Dell.ie will deliver before Xmas I would say.
