Someone please help me with this, spellcheck isnt working in MS Word, Ive tried 2003, 2007 and 2010 now and they refuse to work, I think the problem is that the default language keeps jumping back to Irish no matter how many times I change it to English and hit Set Default, it will still be back at either Irish or English (Ireland) when I open it again, please help as I have been tearing my hair out all day, Ive tried everything Google suggests and nothing works.

    Thanks.

Keyboard not set to English (UK)?

Okay Ive done that and its got rid of all mentions of Irish or English (ireland) or English (United States), now the only option is English (UK) and I have clicked on it and made it default but the spell checker is still not working, I can misspell a word and no red line appears under it, clicking on the spellcheck icon gives you the usual "Spelling and Grammar Check is Complete" message.

Thought you had it cracked there, thanks anyway ART6.

It might be that you need to do a re-start to enable the UK keyboard. That is often the case with changes to the OS.
