Yes you will. I moved to a new club last February and played in the Jimmy Bruen for them. You should have no problem as long as you impress the team managers!!

Assuming, for those competitions that require it, that last year you submitted the required minimum number (4?) of cards in qualifying competitions.

    glencarraig,
good stuff. people have been telling me different things about having to have played a certain amount of competitions the previous yr in that club. obviously not if you hadn't any problems. cheers

Well I went the most direct route that I could. I won the Intermediate Scratch Cup in my new club after being a member for all of 10 weeks, made the team manager sit up and take notice. There was never an issue surrounding the number of competitions or returned cards.

Never an issue as long as you have the cards returned. Problem of breaking GUI rules if you haven't though.

Some clubs won't pick you until you have a years golf under your belt but that is just a local rule in some places. Ask the new club before joining

Once you have the 4 cards from teh previous year you are fine.

I have found the above information very interesting as I too moved clubs this year. However, under ILGU generic tournament conditions

1.6 Team Events: In all ILGU Inter-club match play events, a player must have been an elected member of the club she represents on or before 1st March in the year of the Tournament

Bring on 2011 when I will be eligible to play!

I was asked recently to be an assistant manager of one of the inter-club teams - I'm delighted especially as I'm only a member since April
