Anybody have any idea of the sales numbers a top Irish app would get, eg the speed camera one.

Are you looking for revenue or free App's? And are you looking for money maid or purely how many downloaded?

Revenue it really depends. Apparently the developer of AngryBirds has topped a million euro. I did a small bit of research into Apps. Basically I found there is no market below about 25. Most students or younger people with iPhones don't buy App's as they don't have credit cards etc.

The Speed camera apps are limited as well as an example, Trapster is free so your App would have to be bloody good to be worth paying for. You'd also remember Apple get 30% of your App sales, so at 79 cent, your not coming away with much all told per download.

The speed camera app is the highest grossing app on itunes right now at €4 a pop. Would love to know units.

But its topical, not exactly retirement money. And highest grossing is easy when you charge €4. Doesn't necessarily mean you shift a lot of units.

What are you on about? If you don't know anything about it don't post.

Nevermind ironclaw, obviously has no clue...

I'd say units; roughly 5 billion?
