If i told you it gives of 0.5 lux of light, would that help answer your question?

Seriously - it would probably give off as much light as one of those portable DVD payers that kids use in the back of cars. Except on pause (i.e. the colours won't constantly be changing.....as often)

Does it come with adjustable brightness settings?

Thanks for the reply. Trying to figure out if it would be distracting when going asleep. Don't have the specs to check right now

its basically an lcd screen, so depends on the images

put it on a timer, so it goes to sleep too, why run it when you asleep

I have one in my sitting room and when there are no other lights on it is very bright. I couldn't have it in a bedroom.
