    Hi,

I am desperately trying to find an old TV ad which was broadcast on either Irish TV or Irish/British TV in the 1990s...I think. It's a parody of Casablanca. I think it is an ad for food or a food product, like Bisto. It may have been shot in black and white, features some of the visual motifs of the film (shadows of blinds across the room), and involves some children at home, eating...or preparing food...I think it involves a visitor, maybe a new friend or girlfriend. It ends with the parents looking in from the kitchen saying "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful frienship".

Can anyone remember the product, or provide any details on the ad?

It's not the baked beans ad, is it?

I'm pretty sure it was Birdseye, for something like fish fingers or some other type of kids convenience food.

    McCains Oven Chips I think.

It definitely had kids in it and involved food. I would have said spaghetti hoops or crispy pancakes maybe?
