Ok so i am looking at getting monopoly, but there are so many new versions since i last played it. Can anyone tell me which is best or do any of the new monopoly games stand up to the classic?

I saw a "Classic" version in Tesco for €15 a week ago if that helps. I dont think many stand up, too gimmicky...and much harder to steal money as the banker with the newer "digital" versions :D

    Late reply.

    There is no "good" Monopoly.

If I was going to buy one I'd buy the classic one but I'm not a lover of Monopoly it's too fricken long!

I was in TK Maxx the other day and they were selling a board game called Anti-Monopoly I was so tempted to get it :D

I got a present of Ghettopoly many years ago. Absolute howl!!! Listening to parents buying "Crack Houses" for they're "Ho's". Think it was banned shortly after release though.

I tried the electronic one. It really kills the buzz when you don't get to touch the money

There's a classic vintage version which i have, which i think is brilliant. Comes in a wooden box and the houses are wooden, pieces are metal etc.

I got it on ebay for about €50.

    Here it is:
