Apparently I can set up a freeview hd box to work alongside the humax freesat sat box without the remotes conflicting???

    How do I do it?

    From the suspended Hummy.org.uk site

    Multi Code function HDR remote
If you are using more than one receiver in the same location you can change the remote control frequency so that the remote control commands do not conflict.
(This is only relevant to the Foxsat HD, HDR, and HDCI 5000, and HD/HDR T2 freeview products.)

    1. Switch on your TV set and the Humax product that you wish to change the remote code.
    2. Make sure that the other Humax product that you do not wish to control is in Standby or powered OFF at the mains.
    3. Point the remote control towards the remote control sensor of the target receiver.
    4. Press and hold the 0 and OK buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the PVR button on the remote stays red.
    5. A message will appear on the TV screen:

"You can change the remote control mode.
Press a Numeric Key (<1> ~ <6>) to select the mode
    Current mode: Mode 1."

    6. Press a NUMERIC button (from 1 to 6) to select a different mode.
    7. A message confirming the change of Mode will appear on screen.

Just out of interest - can you get the Foxsat remote to control the terrestrial PVR? I use the my Humax Foxsat remote to control the TV, my AV amplifier and an older Sony DVD recorder as well as the PVR. Seems a pity to have to use two remotes for two Humax products:(

The remote control both units and that is exactly the problem. If you switch on both units are switching on from standby for instance without the mode change.

Sorry - didn't make myself clear. I meant that you could use a separate button on the remote to switch between controlling the Satellite and Terrestrial PVRs - just like I do for my AV amp and TV. Obviously you first need to set the Terrestrial PVR to use a different set of codes, so GBCULLEN would follow your procedure to do that. Afterwards GB could use a spare button on the sat remote to switch to the terrestrial box - just like ftakeith.

I don't think its possible to assign a Humax receiver mode to the audio/aux button.

ftakeith seems to manage it - see above. My Humax remote has TV, DVD and Audio buttons as well as the PVR button.

Could you post a report of how well the Humax works - picture quality, stability, recording accuracy (starts / stops on time?). I know there's no series link on the RTENL EIT data just yet, so that feature will have to wait!

I was considering getting one, but it's a lot of cash for a recording solution for six channels - of which I might record three! I have an Mvision 200 HD combo, which supports USB recording, but it's a bit flakey on HDMI and doesn't have the ease-of-use of the Humax sat PVR.

The idea is not bad. Changing the mode for the PVR button and the first unit to say mode 2 and assign the standard mode 1 for the second unit to the TV, DVD or Audio/AUX button.
The problem is there are no Humax receiver codes listed in the user manual for the other buttons. Maybe ftakeith know a answer.

Did we ever get an outcome on this?

I now have both the Humax Foxsat HDR and the Humax Fox T2 HDR. Whilst I was able to change the code on the T2 HDR remote to stop the conflict, I was unable to change the buttons on either remote so that I could just use one remote.
My solution has been to buy a Harmony 300 (good deal at £29.95 in Richersounds at present). I have programmed in my TV, DVD, Foxsat HDR (on the SatBox button), and T2 HDR (on the VCR button).
    Very pleased with results.

    Hi Guys

Did you ever workout how to get both the Foxsat and Freeview HD T2 working off the same Humax remote control?

i.e. Foxsat from PVR button, and T2 from Audio button.

    Thanks for any help.

    Kenny
