They should all handle saorview alright. I'd rule out the LG from those three, almost straight away, their lesser tv's really arent all that great in the important area's. That toshiba is a bit of an unknown, you dont see too many reviews. That one does look like good value, even though LED in cheaper sets often has no benefits to picture quality, just power consumption.

Are you a gamer? If you are, the toshiba is pretty much the only one of them that will do, and even at that its a bit of an unknown. The other two would have input lag issues

Thanks for that Zonda999, it won't be used much for gaming - only on occassion. I was veering towards the Toshiba, but after googling as you said there is little or no reviews on it unfortunately!!

Yeah, there are no reviews i can find being honest but i did find this. I'd be very surprised if the tv you've linked to is much if any different to this one.

That said, seeing as you wont be using it for much gaming, i would be going for the Samsung if i were in your position, its just their reputation and they usually do make solid sets and i expect that one is no exception.

I am a bit biased alright though having bought a samsung 40" set before, i do find it excellent. Have 2 flat screen tvs in the house, that 40" samsung(Its quite similar to the pixmania one, also a 6 series) bought in early 2009 and an LG 32" bought in late 2007, the Samsung absolutely blows the LG out of the water in every way, it has to be said. I can say that the same applys today because the panel technology they use in their respective sets has not changed since then.

To be honest, i imagine you could buy any of the two and they would both be very nice sets. Speaking of that panel technology, the samsung and toshiba both use the same so i know the result will be similar. The samsung will absolutely for certain work correctly with saorview, whereas who knows with the toshiba, although it should

    Hi,

Which TV did you go for in the end. I am considering the LG one atm, and can't decide.

    Thanks
