    Hi, any chance of one of these, party conventions are being held at the moment to decide who runs in each constituency, it would be be great to have a separate area to discuss each constituency in detail.

    I imagine there'll be some kind of arrangement made in the coming months; the Politics forum's going to be chock-a-block once election season begins.

    Should we also have an "Irish people are idiots, therefore..." sticky to save Denerick the trouble of reminding people of our collective stupidity in every thread? :p

    It's already started, Fine Gael had their convention in Clare on Sunday night, word was they were going to pick two candidates which would be the two incumbent FG TDs and a third would be added to the ticket at a later stage, more than like Madeleine Taylor Quinn. However if they want to pull of a real coup then a 4th runner in Martin Conway might get them 3 seats.

    Given our government can't even agree to have an election, it might be a bit premature.

    If its on a Thursday, we will need a subforum and a sticky just for that.
